Biological base plastic

    Biodegradable Starch Resin

    Product Type

Film Blowing Grade Starch Based Compostable Resin

    Product Features

Granules are in light yellow, with slight starch fragrance, easily absorb moisture and easily decomposed by microbes within 90 days, anti-static, easily colored. Granules come in cylinder or round shape. The processing temperature is lower than that of conventional plastic. Such granules can be directly processed into finish products without adding any other polyolefin materials like PE, PP, PS, PVC, etc.

    Recommended Applications

         Compostable packaging film.

Compostable bags, including shopping bags, garbage bags, pet waste bags, electronic products packing bags, etc.

    Processing Equipment

Machines, like common film blowing machine, sheet extruder, bag making machine, printers, heat seal machine, etc, can be used to process bio-products.

    Processing Technology

Using film extruder with a screw of L/D ratio≥281, and the blow-up ratio should be more than 13, which will help to achieve maximum production yield and best film quality.

The freshly blown film feels brittle and crisp. Its elongation is fairly low. This is due to the severe dehydration during production. After a 24 hour curing period, it will regain its properties of tensile strength and elongation. Therefore, newly made film needs 24 hours of curing period before further processing like printing or bag-making.

    Remarks

Due to the high starch content, the resin easily absorbs moisture. It needs to be stored in a dry environment, and the packaging should be sealed properly to prevent moisture.

In case the resin is damp, it should be dried for 2 hours at 80ºC.

During processing, the temperature is correct when the corn starch fragrance can be smelled at the hopper.

It can be decomposed into soil friendly substances under a microbial environment within 90 days.
