98/101/EC: Amendment to Directive 91/157/EEC
Major amendments introduced by Directive 98/101/EC are:
※      From 2000,the content of Mercury contained in Batteries and Accumulators should not be more than 0.0005% by weight; The content of Cadmium and Lead should not be more than 0.0025%and 0.4% respectively.
※      Each button cell and battery composed of button cells should NOT contain more than 2% of mercury by weight per cell;
※      The Directive 91/157/EEC is still valid for batteries and accumulators put on the market from 1999, containing more than 0.0005% of mercury by weight.
